FISME has been nominated to the Steering Committee on Industry for the formulation of 12th Five Year Plan under aegis of the Planning Commission to represent the MSME Sector in India. Besides FISME, the other Industry bodies are CII,FICCI and ASSOCHAM.
The Standing Committee is to critically review the performance of Industrial Sector during 11th FYP and to formulate a strategy for accelerated growth of the sector in the 12th Plan. It is to submit its report by end of Sept 2011. Now sector/ issue specific working groups are being formed.
Mr. V.K. Agarwal, President FISME is to articulate MSME concerns in the Steering Committee.
